Inspiration

Design Considerations: The project is located on two rooftop levels in lower Manhattan. The building uses a portion of the lower level for their air conditioning units, taking up a substantial amount of space.

The client requested a hot tub and loads of plants plus a dining area. The design had to be durable and require a minimum amount of maintenance.

Design Approach: Having to connect the two spaces, we created a series of spaces conceived as a mountaintop trail, featuring winding paths, scenic lookouts, and a cozy fire pit at the summit.
