Inspiration

Design Considerations: The property is located in a rural setting, situated on a hill with a view of the Hudson River.

Design Approach: The design emulates the traditional colonial houses in the area, while incorporating modern features. With lots of glazing, all spaces get plenty of light and outdoor space is provided to all bedrooms and family rooms.

The central circulation space emblematic of the Colonial style is reinvigorated with large windows to the rear garden and pool at the ground and second level. Upstairs, a gathering space and lookout nook also enliven the hall.
