Inspiration

Design considerations: A haven for sportscar lovers, this private dealership and lounge to be set in a Greenpoint warehouse. The client has a love for Formula 1 and New York nightclub history.

Design approach: We sought to combine the client’s love of car racing and affection for night clubs to his showroom and lounge. Key for us was to connect the spaces visually. We designed a mezzanine loosely shaped like a racetrack generating two large openings to see below and also three distinct areas for gathering. A large wall of curved black tiles, inspired by stacked tires, separates the coat check, bathrooms and dealership offices from the lounge.
