Design Considerations: Our client was looking to convert one of the bedrooms into a master with an ensuite and then find a place to put all their books.

Design Approach: The apartment had a lot of unused space, so we tightened up the corridors, rearranged the bedrooms, and set about defining public areas and private areas. We used apple plywood to arrange and define the transitions. The bookshelf is visible right from the entrance, and draws you into the open loft-like public space. it defines the entertainment area and the gateway to the private corridor.

Wood lines the hallway that connects the bedrooms and the master bedroom hallway to the ensuite bathroom, reinforcing the bedroom volume.
